The month of May is over. Few days from now the seat of power which is Malacanang shall be occupied by the only son and namesake of the strongman Ferdinand E. Marcos. His son Bongbong (BBM), as he is fondly called by his supporters is catapulted to power by an overwhelming vote of more than 31 million, a clear showing that “you cannot put a good man down”. His call for unity along with his positive campaigning and commitment to continue the good program of government by the outgoing President Rodrigo Roa Duterte earned him the support and backing of the electorate.
If BBM will follow the template set by his father in the fields of agriculture, education, infrastructures, health and foreign policy with the help of brilliant people in government, his dream of making this nation great again can be achieved. I have watched and heard him talk during Presidential debates about having an independent foreign policy and how he would deal with superpowers like America, Russia and China and apparently, he would not give away “a square inch of our land” to any foreigner.
Of all the presidential candidates this past election BBM is the most maligned, cursed and insulted by people in the biased mainstream media, by priests and bishops of the Roman Catholic Church, by leftist leaders and student activists and the followers of the yellow-turned-pink cult. They miserably failed to put BBM down because the vast majority of the electorate are conscious and cognizant of their evil scheme. Who would have approved and allowed the face of a candidate to be superimposed in the holy face of Virgin Mary? Or the church pulpit to be used as a podium for political campaigns? Honestly, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth so to speak.
Anyway, all the malicious innuendoes, baseless accusations and concocted stories about the Marcoses are now water under the bridge. The best we can do as a people is to unite and move on towards a better future. Allowing ourselves to be enslaved in the memories of the past twisted by biased media and propagated by their believers will not do us any good. Time is gold. Life is short. Let us not waste it hating and maligning each other. Let us make the best out of our time by helping the community in our own little way.

I was born to write and I believe that’s my calling. I love writing because it brings me to the realm exclusively of mine. It is also my opinion that “immortality” can be achieved not by searching for the Holy Grail and drinking from it but by living your life worth-writing or writing something worth-reading. Since I cannot promise you a life worth-writing, I keep myself busy writing something worth-reading. I am thankful to God for giving me the talent and skill to see life in different perspectives not seen by many and the courage to share it to my readers. This first ever Tutubi Digital News Magazine is a perfect avenue to bring you the many facets of life that you can ponder upon in this time of the pandemic. Enjoy reading all the articles.
