San Pablo City, Laguna. Gem Castillo, the spouse of San Pablo city Mayor Vicente B. Amante will receive the “Honorary Philanthropist of The Year” award at the Nation Builders and World Most Sustainable and Livable MOSLIV Awards 2022 for devoting genuine concern for protection and welfare of the children and elderly in her community, at the the Grand Ballroom, Okada Manila on November 25, 2022.
The award recognizes her outstanding and proven record of exceptional financial generosity and her demonstrated civic extraordinary and charitable responsibility and generosity that inspires others to take philanthropic action.
The Nation Builders and Mosliv Awards 2021 celebrates and honors the changemakers, and leaders in sustainability across the Philippines. It gives honor to exemplary accomplishments of leaders, initiatives, and organizations who have made sustainability an integral part of their business practice and for working to reduce the impact of their business on our environment.
“You don’t need millions of pesos to be a philanthropist. You can simply donate “time, talent or treasure” toward doing good, but you can increase the impact of your giving by thinking strategically. Educational resources like Adopt a School provides a program where a private entity agrees to extend assistance to a public school in a particular aspect/s of its educational program. These tools can help us decide what is important to us and then create an action plan that maximizes our resources,” Castillo expressed.
“Today we pledge to continue to adapt and improve to work toward a more sustainable city with healthier people and to make sure that every San Pableño would pursue his or her dream here in Laguna,” Castillo ended.
