Gem Castillo Amante was recently awarded Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year 2022 during the third Southeast Asian Achievement Red Carpet awards night on February 19, 2023 at the Manila Grand Opera Hotel.
The Southeast Asian Achievement Award (SEAAA) is an award-giving organization that recognizes the most passionate and promising achievers to inspire others and honor those who are meant to make a mark of legacy.
The Outstanding Philanthropist award honors an individual with a proven record of exceptional generosity who, through direct financial support, demonstrates outstanding civic and charitable responsibility and whose generosity encourages others to be philanthropic.
Gem has had great personal success in both the private and public sectors. But that has never been enough for her. She has poured her time, energy, and resources into making San Pablo City a better place for all members of its community. She has inspired many others to do the same. She has given her own time, money, and talents but has also inspired an army of others to participate in advancing their communities.
Encouraging and motivating others to give is at the core of all, Gem believes her greatest legacy is to have inspired others to generously give back—to invest time, talents, money, and energy into making their communities as healthy and supportive of families and with as much social and economic justice as possible.
