CABUYAO CITY, Laguna. The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) took a step forward in enhancing the digital skills of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Cabuyao through a seminar held at the 2nd Floor, CIDA Office, Cabuyao Retail Plaza, Brgy. Dos, Cabuyao City, Laguna, on May 19, 2023. The seminar focused on digital entrepreneurial competencies, emerging trends, future directions, and consumer education.

In an effort to stay competitive in the global market, Negosyo Center, under DTI-Laguna, aims to educate MSMEs on establishing distinct value propositions and achieving top-of-mind recall among their existing and potential customers. As digitalization rapidly transforms the business landscape, possessing digital skills has become essential for entrepreneurs to adapt to new technologies and keep pace with technological advancements. However, there is currently a limited supply of individuals with these digital skills despite a high demand. The seminar aimed to equip micro, small, and medium enterprises with the necessary skills and abilities to establish, operate, and sustain a successful start-up in the long term.

Moreover, the seminar also provided insights into the key success factors of entrepreneurial educational programs and the e-leadership skills required by various stakeholders involved in the innovation process.

The event was graced by Mr. Jerome Laviña, Negosyo Center Head Officer, representing the City Government of Cabuyao. Mr. Johnny Boy “JB” Tizon, National University Laguna Program Chair of BS Business Administration and Proprietor of JB Tizon Consultancy, served as the resource person for the seminar, sharing valuable expertise with the participants.

The seminar concluded with an open forum, allowing participants to seek clarification on certain points and share their insights on the topics discussed.
