Pekeng dentista arestado sa Quezon

MAUBAN, Quezon. Inaresto ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang isang pekeng dentista sa isang entrapment operation sa Barangay San Lorenzo sa bayang ito noong Miyerkules, Hulyo 24.

Ang suspek ay kinilalang si Conrado Moreno, kilala rin sa alyas na Rady. Nakakuha ng impormasyon ang NBI-Lucena City na si Moreno ay sangkot sa ilegal na praktis ng dentistry sa kanyang tahanan na nagsisilbing klinika rin. Gumagawa siya ng kumpletong denture at removable partial dentures para sa kanyang mga pasyente.

Kumpirmado ang mga aktibidad ni Moreno, kaya isinagawa ang isang entrapment operation. Nahuli ang suspek matapos tumanggap ng marked money mula sa isang poseur-patient habang siya ay nasa proseso ng paga-administer ng anesthesia at pagbubunot ng ngipin.

Ayon sa Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), walang balidong certificate of registration at professional identification card sa dentistry si Moreno. Hindi rin siya nakalista sa roster ng mga rehistradong dentista sa Pilipinas.

Nahaharap si Moreno sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9484 (Philippine Dental Act of 2007).
