MAYNILA. Tumugon ang 30 miyembro ng gabinete ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa kanyang panawagan na magsumite ng courtesy resignation upang bigyang-laya ang Pangulo na isagawa ang mga kinakailangang pagbabago sa pamahalaan.
Kabilang sa mga nagsumite o nagpahayag ng kahandaang magsumite ng kanilang pagbibitiw ay sina:

Ilan sa mga kalihim ay nagpahayag ng kanilang buong suporta sa direktiba ng Pangulo. Ayon kay DBM Sec. Amenah Pangandaman, “I will submit my resignation.” Dagdag pa niya, “We all serve at the pleasure of the President… We stand firmly with the President as he steers the nation and our economy forward with integrity, transparency, courage, and compassion.”
Ganito rin ang naging tono ni DMW Sec. Hans Leo Cacdac, na nagsabing, “I therefore humbly heed the call for courtesy resignation, which I shall submit immediately today.”
Sinabi naman ni SolGen Menardo Guevarra, “All members of the cabinet serve at the pleasure of the president.” Dagdag pa niya, “The president needs all the leeway to move the country forward… like everyone else, the SolGen will tender his courtesy resignation as directed.”
Ayon naman kay Finance Sec. Ralph Recto, “The President carries the heavy burden of leading the nation through complex global and domestic challenges… I have already submitted my courtesy resignation without delay or reservation.”
Pahayag naman ni DICT Sec. Henry Aguda, “We stand by the President and serve at his pleasure. We will continue to work to deliver his mandate for the Filipino people.”
Samantala, sinabi ni DOLE Sec. Laguesma, “As ordered and to afford the President a free hand, I will most respectfully comply.”
May kabiruan naman si DA Sec. Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., na nagbiro ng “yes of course ako pa!! hehehe.. naka medical leave ako till sabado fyi.” Dagdag pa niya, “I have submitted my courtesy resignation and now leave it to the President’s good judgment.”
Sa kanyang resignation letter, sinabi ni DSWD Sec. Rex Gatchalian:
“In faithful adherence to the directive of the President, please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation… I deeply appreciate the trust and confidence that was bestowed upon me and to have served the people under this administration.”
Ayon naman kay DEPDev Sec. Balisacan, “If deemed necessary, I stand ready to hand over the leadership to someone the President believes can better drive our nation’s development goals.”
Sa panig ni DOTr Sec. Vince Dizon, “We serve at the pleasure of the President, and of the people.”
Sa kanyang liham, sinabi ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin:
“I hereby respectfully tender my courtesy resignation… It has been an honor to be a member of your Cabinet, Mr. President.”
Ayon kay DENR Sec. Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga, “I serve at the pleasure of the President and trust in his wisdom on what is best for our country.”
Sa pahayag ng Department of National Defense, “Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro, Jr. has submitted his courtesy resignation… and he assures the public that the DND and its bureaus… will continue to fulfill its mandate.”
Dagdag pa ni CFO Sec. Dante Ang III, “I will comply with the President’s order.”
At ayon kay PLLO Chief Mark Mendoza, “We will abide and respect the directive of the President that all members submit our courtesy resignation thank you.”
Ang panawagan ng Pangulo para sa courtesy resignation ay naglalayong bigyan siya ng “free hand” na isagawa ang mga kinakailangang pagbabago sa kanyang gabinete kasunod ng midterm elections. Inaasahang magsisilbing daan ito para sa mas episyenteng paghahatid ng serbisyo at pagtugon sa hinaing ng mamamayan.
Marami sa mga opisyal ay nagpahayag ng kanilang pagsunod sa pamamagitan ng opisyal na pahayag, social media posts, mensahe sa mga kapwa opisyal, at pormal na liham ng pagbibitiw.
Sa kabila ng pagsumite ng kanilang courtesy resignation, marami sa mga kalihim ang nagpahayag ng patuloy na dedikasyon sa serbisyo publiko hanggang sa pagtanggap ng kanilang pagbibitiw. Habang inaabangan ang magiging desisyon ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., patuloy ang mga ahensya sa pagseserbisyo sa sambayanang Pilipino.
