Nagbabala ang Office of the Presidential Spokesperson (OPS) nitong Lunes sa publiko laban sa mga scammer na nag-aalok ng hindi awtorisadong medical bond o medical insurance.

Sa isang press statement, sinabi ni Acting Presidential Spokesperson, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, na nakatanggap ang OPS ng mga ulat na “some unscrupulous individuals have been using the names of Nograles and Secretary Silvestre Bello III to solicit an unauthorized medical bond/medical insurance, in the amount of PHP6,000 as part of the recruitment and hiring procedure.”

Ginamit aniya ng mga scammer ang letterhead ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases at Department of Labor and Employment.

Hinikayat din niya ang publiko na agad na iulat sa mga awtoridad ang mga indibidwal na nag-aalok ng naturang mga medical bond o medical insurance.

“The OPS wishes to alert everyone of this illegal solicitation scheme and urges the public to report such fraudulent activity to 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center,” ayon sa kanya.
