Alaminos, Laguna. Inaresto ng pulisya ang isang lalaking nagpa-practice ng dentistry na walang lisensya sa Laguna.
Ayon kay Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Brig. Gen. Ronald Le, ang suspek na si Rodelo Donato ay nahuli sa kanyang tirahan sa Brgy. San Agustin, Alaminos, Laguna noong Lunes.
Isinagawa ang operasyon matapos makatanggap ng tip sa isang impormante na walang certificate of registration o professional identification card si Donato.
Nagsagawa ng entrapment operation ang mga operatiba ng CIDG at iba pang police unit at naaresto ang suspek na nahuli sa akto habang nagsasagawa ng dental technology.
Nabigo si Donato na magpakita ng lisensya na isang paglabag sa Republic Act 9484 o An Act to Regulate the Practice of Dentistry, Dental Hygiene and Dental Technology in the Philippines, sabi ni Lee.
Nakakulong ngayon si Donato sa Alaminos Municipal Police Station.
“Ang CIDG ay nagpapa-alala sa publiko na maging mapanuri sa pagpili ng dentista o dental clinic upang hindi maging biktima ng ilan sa mga hindi otorisado at walang legal na basehan upang magsagawa ng ganitong gawain,” ayon kay Lee.
