Tiniyak ng Department of Agriculture (DA) sa publiko noong Martes na nananatiling sapat ang produksyon ng pagkain sa bansa, partikular na ang mga pangunahing produktong agrikultura tulad ng bigas, gulay, manok, at isda.
Sa isang virtual presser, sinabi ni DA Undersecretary Ariel Cayanan na sinusubaybayan ang record-breaking harvest productions habang tinitiyak ang tatlong-buwang buffer stock.
“During this first quarter’s end, we have recorded 90 days to last buffer stock, in the second quarter, of course, our outlook with the other imports that will be arriving, we will have another 90 days, our latest in quarter 3 where we are preparing for the wet season, we have 60 days and, we will be ending this year with 87 or three months inventory,” ayon sa kanya..

Binanggit din ni Cayanan na maaaring tumaas ang demand para sa mga gulay at isda ngayong panahon ng Kuwaresma.
