Itinatag ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang DepEd Elections Task Force (ETF) Operation and Monitoring Center para tulungan ang mga guro at tauhan ng pampublikong paaralan sa kanilang mga tungkulin sa botohan sa Mayo.
Ang ETF ay isa sa mga inisyatiba ng Departamento upang matulungan ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) at matiyak ang malaya, maayos, tapat, mapayapa, at kapani-paniwalang pambansa at lokal na halalan.
“The ETF will ensure that teachers and personnel are provided with adequate information, and technical and legal assistance in the course of the performance of their duties as members of the Electoral Board. This will also serve as DepEd’s institutional link to volunteer organizations and individuals,” ayon kay DepEd Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones sa isang news release noong Biyernes.
Itinalaga sina Undersecretary Alain Del Pascua at lawyer Revsee Escobedo ang DepEd ETF Operations and Monitoring Center chair at vice chair, ayon sa DepEd Memorandum No. 10, s. 2022.
Magsasagawa ang DepEd ETF ng central operations sa Bulwagan ng Karunungan sa central office sa Pasig City mula Mayo 8 hanggang 10 mula 1 p.m. hanggang 5 p.m. upang garantiyahan ang pagsunod sa mga utos at tagubilin na may kaugnayan sa mga tungkulin sa halalan.
Bilang karagdagan, lahat ng regional at mga paaralan/lungsod na dibisyon ng opisina ng Departamento ay awtorisado na lumikha ng kanilang mga ETF Operations at Monitoring Center sa parehong iskedyul.
“The regional directors and schools division superintendents are instructed to submit a list of five officials/employees who will compose its ETF, with their respective designation, position, salary grade, DepEd email address, and contact information,” ayon kay Pascua.
Ang pagkakaloob ng honoraria sa mga opisyal at tauhan na magbibigay ng kanilang mga serbisyo sa mga ETF ay sasailalim sa umiiral na mga alituntunin at regulasyon ng Commission on Audit sa paglalabas ng departamento at badyet.
“Payments of overtime pay or grant of compensatory time-off to qualified personnel in the central, regional, and schools/city division offices who will compose the DepEd ETF are authorized, subject to the availability of funds and existing auditing rules and regulations, as well as the pertinent Civil Service laws,” dagdag pa ni Pascua.
