Mahigit na 141,000 na lokal at overseas na trabaho ang maaaring makuha sa face-to-face na “Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan Job and Business Fairs” na gaganapin sa buong bansa bilang pagdiriwang ng ika-120 na pagdiriwang ng Labor Day ngayon araw ng Linggo, Mayo 1, ayon sa Department of Labor at Employment (DOLE) kahapon.
Ayon kay DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III, nasa 141,487 employment opportunities ang nakahain mula sa 1,063 employers sa buong bansa.
Karamihan sa mga bakante sa 26 na site ng job fair ay nasa manufacturing, business process outsourcing, at retail/sales industries.
Idinagdag niya na 95,233 lokal na trabaho ang iaalok ng 958 na employer na kinabibilangan ng mga production operator/machine operators, customer service representatives, collection specialists, retail/sales agents/promodiser, at sewers.
Sa kabilang banda, may 105 recruitment agencies ang mag-aalok ng mga trabaho na may kabuuang 46,254 sa Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Germany, Poland, United Kingdom, Japan, Taiwan, at Singapore.
Ang nangungunang mga bakante sa ibang bansa ay para sa mga nurse/nurse aides; mga karpintero, kapatas, at mga welder; mga server ng pagkain; mga manggagawa sa serbisyo sa sambahayan; at mga auditor.
Sinabi ni Bello na ang pangunahing job fair site sa Mayo 1 ay sa Kingsborough International Convention Center sa San Fernando City, Pampanga, kung saan mahigit 10,000 trabaho ang iaalok ng 90 employer.
Karamihan sa mga bakante ay para sa mga production operator, skilled sewer, customer service representative, production helper, call center agent, helper, staff nurse, at collection specialist.
