Pagsanjan, Laguna. Through Negosyo Center Pagsanjan, the Department of Trade and Industry Laguna Provincial Office (DTI Laguna) continues its assistance to potential and existing womenpreneurs with provision of business advisory services.

Last 15 March 2023, DTI Laguna through Negosyo Center Pagsanjan conducted a seminar on business ideas and consumer education. This is in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of the local government unit of Pagsanjan and conforms with the celebration of National Women’s Month and International Consumer Month.

The seminar was held at CLA Mall Activity Center, located in Barangay Biñan, Pagsanjan, Laguna. At least forty (40) women comprising solo parents, persons with disabilities, and other women’s groups within the municipality were in attendance.

It aims to empower women through entrepreneurial skills development by introducing new business ideas, particularly in the manufacturing and eco-tourism industry. Information on Consumer Rights and Responsibility was discussed as well, providing the participants with wider insight on how they can be proactive consumers and how they can contribute to enhance existing consumer policies.

Hosting the learning activity was the dynamic team of MSWDO headed by Ms. Francesca Mondez, RSW, extending her gratitude for the Agency’s effort in providing such advocacies to the women community, particularly in the vulnerable sector.
