STA. ROSA CITY, Laguna. Enchanted Kingdom, the Philippines’ premier world-class theme park, demonstrated its unwavering commitment to education by handing over its 9th adopted classroom to Dila Elementary School in Santa Rosa City. This gesture was part of the park’s ongoing support for the Department of Education’s (DepEd) 2023 Brigada Eskwela initiative.
DepEd’s current theme, “Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paralan” (Community Effort for Strong Schools), emphasizes the country’s collaborative spirit in creating a clean, safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment. Enchanted Kingdom’s adopt-a-classroom program aligns with the park’s mission to foster a stimulating and healthy learning atmosphere for students.
In a commendable showcase of dedication, Enchanted Kingdom’s maintenance personnel and visual artists undertook the task of refurbishing the classroom. Repairs, upgrades, and fresh coats of paint breathed new life into the learning space, leaving students with a revitalized area to cultivate their education.
Mario Mamon, Chairman and President of Enchanted Kingdom, reaffirmed the park’s enduring alliance with DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela and the broader Santa Rosa community. Mamon articulated, “Enchanted Kingdom is resolute in its commitment to share and uphold Eldar the Wizard’s positive values of kindness, humility, patience, honesty, diligence, generosity, and love for God and family. By enhancing the learning environment, we aspire to inspire the youth to embrace and embody these values.”
The turnover ceremony garnered distinguished attendees, including Santa Rosa City Mayor Arlene B. Arcillas and Vice-Mayor Arnold B. Arcillas. Also present were Dila Elementary School Principal Necita F. Barba, Education Program Supervisor (Kindergarten/SPED) Maribel M. De Vera, and Cluster IV Public School District Supervisor Christie B. Merano, along with teachers and students. The local leadership expressed their gratitude for Enchanted Kingdom’s consistent partnership and lauded the newly improved classroom.
As part of the event, Mr. Mamon extended an invitation to all participants to partake in the festivities of Enchanted Kingdom’s 28th Anniversary on October 28. City Mayor Arlene Arcillas remarked, “After years of collaboration between Enchanted Kingdom and our Local Government, particularly in this year’s Balik Eskwela 2023, we witness the inauguration of this enchanting classroom at Dila Elementary School. We extend heartfelt thanks to Enchanted Kingdom for their support and offer congratulations on their 28th anniversary.”
Teachers and students alike were encouraged to engage in Enchanted Kingdom’s Enchanting Klassroom and Edutainment Programs, furthering the park’s commitment to holistic education.
The collaboration between Enchanted Kingdom and Dila Elementary School shines as an inspiring model of private-public partnership, reinforcing the shared vision of providing quality education in a conducive environment.
