Mysterious deaths of six cattle in Texas sparks UFO fears: ‘Something strange’ is happening

0

A UFO investigator says cattle mutilations have been going on since the 1970s

A UFO investigator is speaking out about strange things happening in Texas after several cattle were found dead with their tongues removed in three separate counties.

Tim Doyle, a lead investigator on the TV series “UFO Seekers,” said he wasn’t too surprised to hear six cattle were found mutilated because “cattle mutilations have been going on in-depth since the 70s.”

He shared a story about Gabe Valdez, a New Mexico State police officer, who reportedly saw a UFO-like object while investigating a case of mutilated cattle.

“In one of those cases from 1976, Gabe Valdez, the police officer, found evidence of a triangular-shaped object landing near a cow. Then some type of tripods exiting this craft–and these tripods were anywhere from 28 inches to four inches in length,” he explained Monday on “Jesse Watters Primetime.” “Now, Gabe said in his investigation that these tripods that exited this UFO craft followed the cow for 600 feet before the cow finally fell dead. And these tripods had little tracks that they left on the ground. Gabe returned to the same incident site for a second time and found that these tracks had actually gone over his tire tracks.”

Guest host Will Cain said he has an open mind to the issue of UFOs but wondered if there was a simple explanation for the murders. “Has it ever been cults or kids? Has it ever been the simplest explanation?” he asked.

“No. [It’s] not cults or kids,” Doyle replied. “Even in that New Mexico caseload, which the FBI investigated and the FBI said it was just ‘natural predators,’ Mr. Valdez, the police officer, said that the surgical cuts in which, get this Will, even then– the rectum and the genitalia were removed from the cattle the same way they are now.”

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office released a statement last week saying on two of the five cows, a “circular cut was made removing the anus and the external genitalia. This circular cut was made with the same precision as the cuts noted around the jaw lines of each cow.”

The sheriff’s office shared that there were no signs of a struggle and that the grass around one of the cows found at a ranch was “undisturbed.” “No footprints or tire tracks were noted in the area,” the statement read.

In addition, the other five animals were found with “no signs of struggle or disturbance in the grass, no blood spill, and no noticeable tracks.”

“No predators or birds would scavenge the remains for several weeks after death,” it continued.

Investigators say the causes of deaths remain unknown and that other similar incidences have been reported across the country.

US says Sudan factions agree to ceasefire as foreigners evacuated

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says the truce deal followed two days of intense negotiations and would begin on Tuesday.

The United States has said that the warring factions in Sudan agreed to a 72-hour ceasefire while Western, Arab and Asian nations raced to extract their citizens from the country.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Monday that the truce deal followed two days of intense negotiations and would begin on Tuesday. The two sides have not abided by several temporary truce deals over the past week.

Fighting erupted between Sudan’s armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group on April 15 and has killed at least 427 people, knocked out hospitals and other services, and turned residential areas into war zones.

“During this period, the United States urges the SAF [Sudan Armed Forces] and RSF to immediately and fully uphold the ceasefire. To support a durable end to the fighting, the United States will coordinate with regional and international partners, and Sudanese civilian stakeholders,” Blinken said in a statement.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that the violence in a country that flanks the Red Sea, Horn of Africa and Sahel regions “risks a catastrophic conflagration … that could engulf the whole region and beyond”.

He urged the 15 members of the UN Security Council to use their clout to return Sudan to the path of democratic transition after a 2021 military coup that followed the fall of longtime ruler Omar al-Bashir in a popular uprising.

“We must all do everything within our power to pull Sudan back from the edge of the abyss … We stand with them at this terrible time,” Guterres said, adding that he had authorised temporary relocation of some UN personnel and families.

The Security Council has planned a meeting on Sudan on Tuesday.

Flurry of evacuation missions

Tens of thousands of people, including Sudanese and citizens from neighbouring countries, have fled in the past few days, including to Egypt, Chad and South Sudan, despite instability and difficult living conditions.

At least two convoys involved in evacuations came under fire at the weekend. Diplomats have been targeted in attacks, and at least five aid workers killed.

Fighting calmed enough over the weekend for the US and the United Kingdom to get embassy staff out, triggering a rush of evacuations of hundreds of foreign nationals by countries ranging from Gulf Arab states to Russia, Japan and South Korea.

South Africa said on Monday that it has begun evacuating dozens of its citizens. Foreign ministry spokesperson Clayson Monyela told the press “they are being taken to a neighbouring country for safety”.

Paris said it had arranged evacuations of 491 people, including 196 French citizens and others from 36 different nationalities. A French warship was heading for Port Sudan to help pick up more evacuees.

Four German air force planes had evacuated more than 400 people of various nationalities from Sudan as of Monday.

Several countries sent military planes from Djibouti to fly people out from Khartoum, including to Port Sudan where some have boarded ships to Saudi Arabia.

Families with children crowded into Spanish and French military transport planes, while a group of nuns was among the evacuees on an Italian aircraft, photographs showed.

Scarce food, electricity, water

For those remaining in Africa’s third-largest country, where a third of the population of 46 million people needed aid even before the violence, the situation was increasingly bleak.

There are acute shortages of food, clean water, medicines and fuel and limited access to communications and electricity, with prices skyrocketing, said UN deputy spokesperson Farhan Haq.

He cited further reports of looting of humanitarian supplies and warehouses and said “intense fighting” in Khartoum and Darfur, as well as in Blue Nile, North Kordofan and Northern states, was hindering relief operations. (with reports from Reuters. Photo credits: Associated Press)

Facebook owner Meta sees latest layoffs begin

0

Facebook owner Meta has started notifying staff who are losing jobs in the wave of 10,000 job cuts the social media company announced last month.

Boss Mark Zuckerberg had said the layoffs are key to to making the company more efficient.

Meta, which also owns Instagram and WhatsApp, has been under pressure since a sharp slowdown in its ads business last year.

It had already let go 13% of its staff – roughly 11,000 people – last year.

Some of the people affected by Meta’s latest decisions wrote on social media saying they were looking for new roles.

The company declined to comment, pointing to the March memo in which Mr Zuckerberg outlined the plans, describing last year’s challenges as a a “humbling wake-up call”.

He said the cuts were necessary to adjust to a new “economic reality” and enable the firm to invest in the future.

In March, people on the recruitment team were first to leave the company.

The newest notifications apply to people working on the firm’s IT teams, according to the firm’s plans.

Another round of layoffs affecting business and administration teams is expected next month.

The firm has said timing could differ for people outside of the US and some cuts may not be complete until the end of the year.

According to reports, London-based Instagram employees will either be cut or relocated.

The London office became a center for growth for the social-media app when its leader, Adam Mosseri, moved there temporarily last year. Mosseri plans to relocate to the US, along with the staffers

The moves come as the corporate world is bracing for a wider economic slowdown, as higher borrowing costs start to slow business activity.

The tech industry, where low borrowing costs had helped fuel investments and growth, has been hit particularly hard.

More than 170,000 people in the industry have been laid off globally since the start of the year, according to announcements tracked by website layoffs.fyi, with big names such as Amazon and Google accounting for some of the largest actions.

Among the other announcements this week, online property firm Opendoor said it would reduce its workforce by roughly 560 jobs or 22%.

DFA: 156 Pilipino sa Sudan handa nang i-repatriate

0

Out of the 500 plus, 156 ang handa at any moment na umuwi na,” ayon kay DFA Undersecretary Eduardo Jose de Vega isang  televison interview.

“Meron silang passport at visa,” dagdag niya.

Ayon sa pahayag ng DOH kahapon, sinabi nila na ang mga lugar “were not escalated from Alert Level 1; rather, these have maintained their Alert Level 2 status since June 2022,”

“While these areas have reached low risk classifications for cases and utilization rates, these have vaccination rates lower than 70 percent of the target total and/or 70 percent of the total A2 population (senior citizens). Meeting these targets will allow these areas to be de-escalated to Alert Level 1,” sabi pa ng DOH.

“The DOH continues to monitor our health system capacity to ensure that Filipinos can continuously avail of healthcare services. While some hospitals have reported some increases in admission, no hospital has reported full capacity,” dagdag pa nito.

“The DOH continues to encourage those that are still unvaccinated, unboosted, or under-boosted to get the vaccines as soon as possible while it is still free of charge, especially for senior citizens,” ayon sa DOH.

0
