Laguna University earns three awards at 16th ALCUCOA National Conference

MANILA. Laguna University (LU) proudly clinched three prestigious awards during the 16th Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA) National Conference, held at the Manila Hotel on October 2-3, 2023.

First and foremost, LU was honored with the Silver Award for Best Website Design and Management. This recognition underscores LU’s commitment to maintaining a visually appealing and informative website, which has significantly contributed to the institution’s positive image and reputation.

The second accolade, the Academic Excellence Award, acknowledges LU’s outstanding contributions to education. LU’s graduates have consistently excelled, exemplified by their remarkable performance in board examinations. LU achieved a remarkable 100% passing rate in the January 2022 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (Secondary Level) and secured the 5th place in the October 2022 Board Licensure Examination for Teachers.

Last but certainly not least, LU received the Human Resource Development Award. This recognition highlights LU’s dedication to enhancing its personnel’s skills and capabilities by consistently sending school officials and staff to various ALCUCOA capability training programs.

Laguna University, situated within the scenic Laguna Sports Complex in Brgy. Bubukal, Sta. Cruz, Laguna, was founded by the provincial government in February 2006. The institution is currently under the leadership of OIC-University President Dr. Colegio S. Gascon, with Governor Ramil L. Hernandez serving as the Interim President and Chairman of the Board of Regents.

This achievement reinforces LU’s commitment to excellence in education and its continuous pursuit of innovation and development in the academic arena.
