Life is hard primarily because of the pandemic that brought economic disorder around the world, aggravated by the war between Ukraine and Russia that has affected the normal supplies of oil, feeds, fertilizer and other products. This global problem is so huge no ordinary man can fully understand hence, it is incumbent upon those who are tasked to keep the economy going to make sure that all the resources of government, natural and otherwise, shall redound to the benefit of the people.
As a nation, we must hold on to our dreams of having a better life and must “stay committed to striving to realize it”. The government officials cannot do it alone. The populace needs to help in whatever little ways they can i.e., obeying traffic rules and regulations; practicing waste segregation; avoiding drugs; patronizing our local products; planting veggies in the backyard; participating in community clean-up drives, and many more. By doing these, progress would be easier to achieve.
The essence of life, as far as I am concerned, is the ability to interact with other people and to communicate with the Great Power of the Universe. Remember that old adage “no man is an island?” Yes, we need others to survive. On a larger scale, our country needs the assistance and support of other countries to be able to cope with the fast-changing times. Look at what happened at the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic. The world was put to a standstill for a while due to the absence of a vaccine that will help stop the spread of the virus. With the aid from other countries, we were able to combat the threat of massive deaths of those infected by the disease.
Like the weather, life is unpredictable. Even if the sun shines bright in the morning, you cannot be so sure if it will continue to shine at noon. That’s how life is – ambivalent as the elements. “If life is predictable, it would cease to be life and without flavor”. My piece of advice to those who are still in the prime of their youth: look at the road you are walking, if you don’t like it, start paving another one. Do not stay in the same place if it doesn’t suit your needs and will not help you grow.
To the elderlies, all we could do is give advice and share positive memories for the younger generation to ponder and emulate. Strive to be happy and we can do this if what we think, say and do are in harmony. Learn the art of living one day at a time. Always remember “that you only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”

I was born to write and I believe that’s my calling. I love writing because it brings me to the realm exclusively of mine. It is also my opinion that “immortality” can be achieved not by searching for the Holy Grail and drinking from it but by living your life worth-writing or writing something worth-reading. Since I cannot promise you a life worth-writing, I keep myself busy writing something worth-reading. I am thankful to God for giving me the talent and skill to see life in different perspectives not seen by many and the courage to share it to my readers. This first ever Tutubi Digital News Magazine is a perfect avenue to bring you the many facets of life that you can ponder upon in this time of the pandemic. Enjoy reading all the articles.
