LONDON. British police have launched an extensive manhunt following the brutal murder of three women, the wife and daughters of BBC horse racing commentator John Hunt, in Bushey, a suburban town 20 miles northwest of London. The incident, believed to involve a crossbow, has shocked the community.

Officers discovered the victims, aged 25, 28, and 61, at their home on Tuesday evening. Despite efforts to save them, they succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The BBC confirmed the identities of the victims as Carol Hunt and her daughters.

A massive search operation, including armed officers, is now focused on locating 26-year-old suspect Kyle Clifford. Police have urged Clifford to surrender and warned the public not to approach him.

Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson described the incident as “horrific,” stating, “Our overarching objective today is to protect public safety and to locate Kyle Clifford who is wanted in connection with the murder of the three women in what we believe is a targeted incident.”

The tragedy has left friends and colleagues of John Hunt in deep shock. ITV horse racing commentator Matt Chapman expressed his condolences on X, saying, “Impossible to comprehend the pain. Just know we are all here for you John. We love you pal – racing loves you.”

The community and law enforcement continue to work together in hopes of swiftly bringing the suspect to justice.
