Nagbigay ng mahigit na 7,000 doses ng Covid-19 vaccine limang local government partners nito sa Region 4A ang Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), ang toll road development arm ng Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), sa pamamagitan ng subsidiary nitong Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South).
“The vaccine donation to CALAX and CAVITEX communities through their LGU’s is our gesture of support in aid of the national government’s recovery plan towards attaining herd immunity against COVID-19 here in the Region IV-A,” ayon kay Arlette Capistrano, MPT South Spokesperson at AVP for Communication and Stakeholder Management.
Noong 2022, ang nabanggit na kumpanya ng toll road ay nagsimulang makipag coordinate at mag-donate ng 140 vials ng Moderna vaccines sa mga lokal na pamahalaan ng Parañaque sa Metro Manila; General Trias, Bacoor, at Silang sa Cavite; at Biñan sa Laguna.
“First of all, I would like to congratulate each and every one of you for making projects that make the lives of the Filipino people easier, from fast and reliable internet and telecommunication to connecting us through the roads your company builds. I would also want to send my heartfelt gratitude for remembering Silang and the thousands of Silangueños that will benefit from your donation,” ayon kay Silang Cavite Mayor Corie Poblete sa kanyang liham.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your company for your donation of 140 vials of Moderna anti-Covid booster vaccines. Your kindness and generosity will surely go a long way in our fight to contain the spread of COVID-19 and help us return to normal and productive lives,” ayon naman kay Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez sa kanyang liham kay Mr. Rodrigo Franco, President of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC).
Sinabi rin ng MPT South na nabakunahan na nito ang 99% na porsyento ng mga tauhan nito laban sa COVID-19. Sa kasalukuyan, patuloy itong nakikipagtulungan sa main office, MPTC at mga sister companies nito sa MVP Group of Companies upang mabigyan ng booster shot ang mga empleyado kanilang mga tauhan.
Ang MPTC ang pinakamalaking developer at operator ng toll road sa Pilipinas. Hawak nito ang mga concession rights para sa Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEX), North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), NLEX Connector Road, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), at Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) sa Cebu.
