Ang mga magsisimba na dadalo sa mga Misa sa Araw ng Pasko at Bagong Taon ay hindi kailangang dumalo sa magkahiwalay na pagdiriwang ng Eukaristiya sa parehong araw para sa kanilang mga Misa sa Linggo.
Sa Circular No. 2022-95 na inilabas noong Martes, sinabi ni Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula na ang pagdalo sa mga Misa sa Araw ng Pasko at Bagong Taon ay itinuturing na bilang Sunday Masses.
“The Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord (Dec. 25) and the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God (Jan. 1) fall on a Sunday this year. Both are holy days of obligation in the Philippines. Those who participate in the Masses during these celebrations fulfill both obligations of Sunday and of the holy day of obligation,” ayon sa circular.
Gayundin, sinabi ng pinuno ng Archdiocese of Manila na ang mga dadalo sa Bisperas ng Pasko at Bisperas ng Bagong Taon sa inaasahang mga Misa sa gabi ay dapat ding matugunan ang parehong mga obligasyon sa relihiyon.
“We decree that those who participate in the evening Masses of the eve of the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord (Dec. 24) and the eve of the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God (Dec. 31) likewise fulfill both obligations of Sunday and of the holy day of obligation,” dagdag ni Advincula.
Gayundin, sinabi ng pinuno ng Archdiocese of Manila na ang mga dadalo sa Bisperas ng Pasko at Bisperas ng Bagong Taon sa inaasahang mga Misa sa gabi ay dapat ding tumugon sa parehong mga obligasyon sa relihiyon.
