Handa ang mga deboto sa mga pagbabago sa pagdaraos ng taunang religious event, ayon sa mga organizers ng Nazareno 2023 o Feast of the Black Nazarene.
“Ready for the new things, so far so good. As I said, this is a transition period. While we are bringing back the pre-pandemic practices, we are integrating the habits of this pandemic. So far, people have been attending, and the desire to have a celebration is more apparent,” ayon kay Fr. Earl Valdez, attached priest ng Quiapo Church, sa isang interview sa isang press briefing noong kanina para sa mga paghahanda sa pista.
Sinabi ni Valdez na marami pa rin ang nakikiisa sa selebrasyon kahit na mananatiling suspendido ang ilang tradisyunal na aktibidad.
“Not to mention, it is not just centered in Quiapo Church but in other parts of the country,” ayon sa kanya.
Ang Walk of Faith ay gagawing isang prusisyon mula sa Quirino Grandstand sa Luneta Park hanggang sa Quiapo Church sa kahabaan ng Quezon Blvd. sa Enero 8, pagkatapos ng 12 a.m. Misa.
Inaasahang matatapos ang prusisyon sa loob ng tatlong oras, ayon sa mga organizer.
Nagpasya ang Quiapo Church na huwag idaos ang tradisyunal na Traslacion o ang prusisyon ng imahe ng Black Nazarene mula Luneta hanggang Quiapo Church sa gitna ng banta ng coronavirus disease 2019.
Huling ginanap ang prusisyon noong Enero 2020 at tumagal ng 16 na oras.
