Taylor Swift wins Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards for the fourth time, setting a new record

LOS ANGELES. Taylor Swift secured the coveted Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards for her album “Midnights,” marking her fourth win in the category and establishing a new record.

During her acceptance speech, Swift expressed gratitude to her producer and friend, Jack Antonoff, stating, “I would love to tell you this is the happiest moment of my life,” before adding, “but I feel this happy when I create music and play shows.”

Earlier in the evening, Swift utilized her 13th Grammy win to announce her upcoming album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” set to release on April 19. She emphasized the significance of the Recording Academy’s vote, describing it as a reflection of the fans’ passion.

One of the night’s major awards, Record of the Year, was bestowed upon Miley Cyrus for “Flowers,” marking her second Grammy of the night and second-ever Grammy win. In her speech, Cyrus expressed her hope that the award wouldn’t alter her beautiful life.

Victoria Monét claimed the Best New Artist award, expressing gratitude in her acceptance speech. She thanked her single mom, acknowledging the 15 years it took to achieve such recognition.

Billie Eilish won Song of the Year for writing the hit “What Was I Made For?” from the album “Barbie.” She thanked director Greta Gerwig for “making the best movie of the year.”

Karol G made history by becoming the first female performer to win Best Música Urbana Album for “Mañana Será Bonito.”

The Grammy Awards featured notable performances, including Olivia Rodrigo’s bloodsucking ballad, Joni Mitchell’s historic rendition of “Both Sides Now,” and Karol G’s groundbreaking win.

SZA delivered a medley of her hits “Snooze” and “Kill Bill” and later took home the Best R&B Song trophy.

The ceremony included emotional moments, such as an In Memoriam segment honoring lost musical legends and a fiery Tina Turner tribute by Fantasia Barrino and Adam Blackstone.

Jay-Z received the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, addressing the history of placing rap on the sidelines at the Grammys.

In an unexpected turn, Killer Mike won three awards but ended up in police custody before the main ceremony due to an altercation.

The night concluded with Billy Joel’s performances of his new track “Turn the Lights Back On” and the classic “You May Be Right.” Celine Dion, despite health challenges, made a surprise appearance to present Taylor Swift with her record-breaking trophy.
