Walang Pilipinong nasaktan sa pag-atake sa subway sa Brooklyn na ikinasugat ng mahigit isang dosena noong Abril 12, ayon sa kumpirmasyon ng Philippine Consulate General sa New York kanina.
“The New York City Police Department has just informed (the Consulate) that there are no Filipinos among the at least 29 people who were reported injured in the mass shooting on the N train in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning,” ayon kay Consul General Elmer Cato sa kanyang advisory.
Noong Martes ng umaga, isang suspek ang nagpasabog ng mga smoke grenade sa isang Manhattan-bound N train sa 36th Street Subway station sa Brooklyn. Pagkatapos magpa usok ay nagpaputok ng baril ang lalaki at tinamaan ang 10 biktima sa subway at platform at ikinasugat ng iba pa.
Ang suspek, na kinilalang si Frank James, ay naaresto sa isang kapitbahayan sa East Village ng Manhattan noong Miyerkules, ayon sa mga lokal na ulat sa New York.
