Kasalukuyang nagsasagawa ng imbestigasyon, ayon sa Russian Foreign Ministry hinggil sa sanhi ng sunog.
“On the evening of February 4, a severe fire broke out in the building of the Russian Embassy in Manila. There are no victims or injured. Employees and members of their families who were in the embassy were evacuated,” ayon sa ipinalabas na statement released matapos ang insidente.
Ayon sa report, nagsimula ang apoy sa ikalawang palapag ng embassy bandang 8:25 ng gabi at umabot sa pangalawang alarma.
Idineklara itong under control bandang ng 11:38 ng gabi, ayon sa mga ulat mula sa Bureau of Fire Protection.
Sta. Cruz, Laguna. Inaresto sa mga serye ng drug buy-bust operations ng Laguna Police Office ang isang negosyante ng baboy at tatlo pang suspek na pusher sa Laguna.

Dinakip din ng mga tauhan ng Calamba City Police Station sa pamumuno si PLTCol Arnel Pagulayan sina Victoria Martinez, 59 anyos na isang operator ng babuyan at residente ng Brgy. Pansol, Calamba City. Nakuha sa kanya ng mga pulis ang 3 sachet ng hinihinalang shabu sa operasyon na isinagawa kahapon sa Dilag St. Purok 1, Brgy. Pansol, Calamba City Laguna.
Sa petsa ding nabanggit ay dinakip sa operasyon ng Biñan City Police Station sa pamumuno ni PLTCol Jerry B. Corpuz sina Luisito Vicuna, 36 anyos at naninirahan sa Brgy. Landayan sa San Pedro, Laguna. Nakumpiska sa kanya ang isang sachet ng hinihinalang shabu kasama ng mga drug paraphernalia.
Ang mga inarestong suspek ay kakasuhan ng paglabag sa R.A 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 habang ang mga edinsyang nakuha sa kanila ay sasailalim sa forensic examinations, ayon sa report ni Laguna Police Acting Provincial Director PCOL Rogarth B. Campo kay Calabarzon Regional Director PBGEN Antonio C Yarra.
“Drug abusers commit crimes to pay for their drugs and this inflicts damages to the society kaya po ang pagbebenta ng droga at ang paggamit nito ay kailangang pigilan upang masigurado ang kaligtasan ng mamamayan,” ayon sa mensahe ni Campo.

Nagkaroon din ng Covid-19 ang ilan sa mga partygoers at empleyado sa bar na kanyang pinuntahan.

Magsisilbing “red flag” para sa mga botante sa darating na halalan sa Mayo 9 ang hindi pagdalo ng mga kandidato sa ga public debate, ayon sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) nitong Huwebes.
“Not a red flag for Comelec, but red flag for the voters, absolutely. But for the Comelec, we don’t care if they come or not,” ayon kay Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez sa isang online press briefing.
Aniya, maaaring makipag-ugnayan ang mga botante sa mga aspirante upang alamin ang kanilang mga plano at programa para sa bansa kung ang mga kandidato ay lalahok sa mga debate.
“I think it is very important that in recognition of how important it is to the people that we acknowledge that they fail to show up. It is not to be glossed over, not ignored. We are going to have a podium right there with their name on it and no face above it. That’s their lookout,” ayon sa kanya.
Tatlong presidential at vice presidential debate ang pinaplano ng Comelec
Plano ng Comelec na magdaos ng tatlong debate sa presidential at vice presidential. Ang una ay gaganapin ngayong buwan, ang pangalawang kaganapan sa Marso at ang huli ay sa Abril.
Dadalhin na ang mga bakuna gagamitin sa mga tinukoy na vaccination sites sa isasagawang pilot run ng pagbabakuna sa mga batang edad 5 hanggang 11 bukas, Mayo 5, 2022, ayon sa Department of Health (DOH) kanina.
Ayon kay Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje, lahat ng natukoy na lugar ng pagbabakuna sa Metro Manila, Region 3 (Central Luzon), at Region 4-A (Calabarzon) ay magiging operational sa Mayo 7 at pagkatapos nito ay palalawakin ito sa iba pang mga rehiyon sa Pebrero 14.
Ang pilot run ay orihinal na itinakda noong Pebrero 4 ngunit na-reschedule pagkatapos mabigo ang isang third-party na kasosyo sa logistics na ipadala ang 780,000 Pfizer-BioNTech na dosis ng bakuna noong Pebrero 3.

Kinuha din ng mga pulis ang mga motorsiklo na gamit ng mga suspek na Suzuki Skydrive 125 at Yamaha Mio Sporty.
Ang mga naarestong suspek ay dinala sa San Mateo MPS at nakatakdang kasuhan ng paglabag sa Section 5, 11 at 26 ng RA 9165 habang ang mga ebidensya ay dadalhin sa Rizal PNP Forensic Group para sa forensic examinations, ayon sa report ni Rizal Police Provincial Office Director PCol Dominic L. Baccay kay Regional Police Region 4A Calabarzon Director Brig. General Antonio C. Yarra.
Bawal na ang pamimigay ng pera bilang isang uri ng ‘ayuda’ (tulong) o pa-raffle ng mga kandidato kapag nagsimula ang campaign period, ayon sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) kahapon.

Umapela naman si Jimenez sa mga makakasaksi sa nabanggit na ilegal na gawain at magsampa ng reklamo at ituloy ito.
“It’s very important. For those who see such things being done, you feel are vote-buying activities, please file a complaint. And please stay with the complaint so we can prosecute to the finish,” ayon sa kanya.
Ang 90-araw na campaign period para sa mga pambansang puwesto tulad ng presidente, bise-presidente, senador at party-list groups ay magsisimula sa Pebrero 8, at ang 45-araw na campaign period para sa mga local aspirants ay magsisimula sa Marso 25.
“It goes without saying that you can no longer give money away and say it is for ayuda, you can’t walk around with a cash gun and make it rain. You can’t do that,” dagdag pa ni Jimenez.
