“So, the crucial part is Thursday or Friday where there is a likely chance for this LPA, or worst case scenario, this tropical depression will cross Bicol region or central and northern Luzon,” ayon sa kanya.

Many people believe that forgiveness demands that we release people from guilt unconditionally. In the Bible, forgiveness means voluntary and loving forgiveness of debt. Jesus’ death on the cross has given us forgiveness, not only for our past sins, but also for the present and future.
What we need to do is to come to him with a humble heart, “confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (John 1:9).
God’s forgiveness is…
Once for all.
The moment we believe in Christ as Savior, we are freed from God’s punishment.
God by His own authority has freed us from all charges. “Christ did not sin, but for our good, God put our sins on Him. Thus we are reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Does this mean that we are no longer responsible for all the wrong deeds we have done? God’s forgiveness does not mean that there will be no consequences for our actions (Galatians 6:7). When we do wrong things, make mistakes and hurt people, we still have to face the consequences.
Perfect and Ultimate
“Blessed are those whose sins are forgiven and whose sins are wiped away. Blessed are those whose sins are not imputed to God.” (Romans 4:7-8)
Our sins are forgiven, removed and not counted again forever.
God’s forgiveness is perfect and final. We don’t have to worry about being confronted again with all our sins. We will not face punishment for our own sins.
When we accept God’s forgiveness, He takes our failures and guilt and places them all on Christ. We will no longer face punishment for our own sins.
The price of forgiveness
There is a high price demanded from both parties involved in the forgiveness process, both from God who forgives us and us as humans who receive forgiveness.
The price of God’s forgiveness for mankind is – He punished His Son for our sins. The just was tortured and killed for the unjust (1 Peter 3:18). He Himself has no sin, because He is perfect! But in His perfection, He chooses to bear our failures, egoism, guilt and shame. After His crucifixion was completed, God accepted Jesus’ death as sufficient payment for our sins (John 19:30).
Three days later, Christ rose bodily from the dead. By the miracle of resurrection he showed heaven’s acceptance of his sacrifice. He also showed a new life with God, which is a forgiven life that is a truth for anyone who believes in Him.
That is why we should reflect and remember the death of Jesus through the holy communion. The communion bread reminds us of Jesus’ body and the communion water reminds us of His blood that has flowed on the cross. “He bore our sins in His own body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. His wounds have healed you.” (1 Peter 2:24).
The price that humanity must pay – For those of us who are offended or hurt, the price is to let go of grudges, cancel debts and try to restore relationships with others who have repented. For the offenders, the price is to admit the mistake humbly and repent and not hide the act. We must admit it, taking full responsibility for the act and the consequences of the act, pleading for God’s mercy with a broken heart and receiving God’s mercy with thanksgiving.
Although the price of forgiveness is high for us, it is worth it because the joy in restoration and freedom is also gained after the relationship is restored.
May the joys of Easter fill our hearts with gladness.
A new study has shown promising results for a nasal COVID-19 vaccine, according to researchers at the Institute of Virology at Freie Universität Berlin in Germany.
When two doses of the live nasal vaccine were administered to hamsters, the animals showed a stronger immune response compared to their response to two doses of the vaccines that are currently available.
The study was published in the journal Nature Microbiology on Monday.
The lead author of the study told Fox News Digital this week, “We find that a live attenuated vaccine prevents virus replication — this could be a game changer in controlling SARS-CoV-2 transmission.”
Nasal vaccines not yet available in US
Today, there are four approved COVID vaccines in the U.S. — all of which are administered via injection into the muscle, per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines are both mRNA vaccines, which use mRNA (messenger RNA) to trigger cells to produce a viral protein.
This prompts the immune system to create antibodies.
Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen is a viral vector vaccine, which delivers DNA “instructions” to the body’s cells via a different, non-harmful virus.
The Novavax vaccine is a protein subunit vaccine, which uses some proteins of the virus that causes COVID-19 — known as the “spike protein” — to “train” the immune system to act against future spike proteins.
“The goal is to create a barrier to stop virus spread.”
The nasal COVID vaccine that’s being tested is a live-attenuated vaccine, which means it contains a live but weaker form of the coronavirus.
It works by stopping the virus in the upper airway before it can travel further into the body.
Study focused on Syrian hamsters
The researchers used Syrian hamsters for their vaccine testing.
The study’s lead author, Dr. Jakob Trimpert, head of diagnostics at the Institute of Virology at Freie Universität Berlin in Germany, said hamsters are the “prime non-transgenic [not genetically modified] small animal model” for COVID-19 research.
“These animals have the great advantage of being naturally susceptible to SARS-CoV-2 infection, including natural spread between hamsters,” he explained to Fox News Digital.
“The infection of Syrian hamsters resembles many key features of moderate human COVID-19 — this makes the hamster an ideal model to study COVID-19 vaccines and therapies.”
Nasal vaccines show ‘superior protection’
The nasal vaccines have significant advantages over the injectable vaccines that are currently available, Dr. Trimpert said.
“An intra-nasally applied live-attenuated vaccine provides superior protection against SARS-CoV-2 infection compared to intramuscularly applied vaccines,” he told Fox News Digital.
While he said currently marketed vaccines do a good job of preventing severe illness from COVID, Dr. Trimpert pointed out that they don’t prevent the infection, moderate illness or spread.
“We find that a live attenuated vaccine prevents virus replication” — so “this could be a game changer in controlling SARS-CoV-2 transmission.”
The main benefit of a nasal vaccine is that immunity is activated right where it’s needed, Dr. Trimpert said.
“It is the induction of local immunity at the site of natural infection that could be a game-changer here,” he said.
“Judging from our results, this has considerable impact and greatly reduces the risk of infection.”
Doctor sees nasal vaccines as ‘a brilliant idea’
Dr. Marc Siegel, professor of medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center and a Fox News medical contributor, said he finds this new research promising. He was not involved in the study.
“The goal is very important: to create a barrier to stop virus spread,” he told Fox News Digital.
“This involves IGA antibodies and works at the level of the mucus membranes.”
IGA, or Immunoglobulin A, is an antibody that plays an important part in the immune function of mucous membranes.
The mucous membrane, or the nasal mucosa, is the tissue that lines the nasal cavity.
The nasal vaccine could be standalone or could work in conjunction with other vaccines, said Dr. Siegel.
“If it’s effective and human trials of the German vaccine are ongoing, it will be a big step forward,” he said.
Dr. Norman B. Gaylis, who has treated over 1,000 patients at his Long Haul COVID Clinic in Aventura, Florida, also reviewed the findings.
“I believe it’s a brilliant idea to create a vaccine that can build immunity in the nasal mucosa,” he told Fox News Digital.
“Research has shown that COVID and other viruses often enter through the nose, and travel up the olfactory nerve … and then into the brain,” he explained.
Developing a nasal vaccine could help prevent viruses from gaining easy access to the brain, said Dr. Gaylis.
“This is important because many ‘long COVID’ patients are reporting brain damage from the virus,” he added.
Additionally, a nasal vaccine would provide a helpful alternative for patients who have a fear of needles, allowing them to get protected without a jab, said the doctor.
Other nasal vaccines in development
As of July 2022, there were at least 12 nasal COVID vaccines in clinical development, according to Science Immunology.
The biotechnology company Codagenix announced in October 2022 that it had entered the Phase 3 clinical trial for CoviLiv, its intranasal COVID-19 vaccine that is intended for healthy adults.
As of July 2022, there were at least 12 nasal COVID vaccines in development.
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City has launched a Phase 1 study evaluating a new egg-based COVID vaccine, called NDV-HXP-S, which can be administered nasally or via muscular injection.
In June 2022, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases published a study illustrating the effectiveness of nasal COVID vaccines in hamsters.
This was followed by another study in September 2022, which showed that nasal vaccines produced a strong immune response in rhesus monkeys.
Both China and India have approved nasal COVID vaccines for humans, as reported in the journal Nature in September 2022.
Those who are considering a new vaccine should consult with a doctor to ensure that it’s right for them.
Iran and Russia have also approved nasal forms of the vaccine, though there is limited data available about their effectiveness.
More research is needed
The German research team plans to continue investigating the effectiveness of its vaccines and looks forward to moving into clinical trials.
“While our results in the animal model are robust, only clinical trials will be able to ascertain translatability to human medicine,” Dr. Trimpert said.
Questions remain about the vaccine’s safety for people with weakened immune systems and the potential risk of combining it with different variants of the virus.
The CDC states that severely immunocompromised people and pregnant women should avoid live vaccines.
Said Dr. Trimpert, “We do think there is reason to hope for next-generation COVID-19 vaccines that better control virus transmission and greatly reduce disease burden.”

Christ’s “mandate” is commemorated on Maundy Thursday—“maundy” being a shortened form of mandatum (Latin), which means “command.” It was on the Thursday of Christ’s final week before being crucified and resurrected that He said this commandment to His disciples. Jesus and his disciples had just shared what was known as the Last Supper and he was washing their feet when he stated:”A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another” (John 13:34).
Holy Thursday is the commemoration of the Last Supper of Jesus Christ, when he established the sacrament of Holy Communion prior to his arrest and crucifixion. It also commemorates His institution of the priesthood. The holy day falls on the Thursday before Easter and is part of Holy Week. Jesus celebrated the dinner as a Passover feast. Christ would fulfill His role as the Christian victim of the Passover for all to be saved by His final sacrifice.
The Last Supper was the final meal Jesus shared with his Disciples in Jerusalem and during this Passover meal,
…Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, from now on I shall not drink this fruit of the vine until the day when I drink it with you new in the kingdom of my Father.” Matthew 26: 26-29
It is believed those who eat of Christ’s flesh and blood shall have eternal life.
Christ also establishes the special priesthood for his disciples, which is distinct from the “priesthood of all believers.” Christ washed the feet of his Disciples, who would become the first priests.
So when he had washed their feet [and] put his garments back on and reclined at table again, he said to them, “Do you realize what I have done for you? You call me ‘teacher’ and ‘master,’ and rightly so, for indeed I am.
If I, therefore, the master and teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another’s feet. I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do. John 13: 12-15
A New York grand jury investigating the circumstances surrounding a “hush money” payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016 has voted to indict Donald Trump, making him the first former president in U.S. history to face criminal charges.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office confirmed the indictment in a statement on Thursday and said it had reached out to Trump’s attorney to arrange his surrender. The specific charge or charges have not yet been made public and the indictment remains under seal. Bragg’s office said more guidance would be provided “when the arraignment date is selected.”
At 12:30 a.m. Friday, one of Trump’s attorneys, Joseph Tacopina, told CBS News via text that Trump’s legal team expects him to surrender to authorities “likely Tuesday,” following discussions with the Manhattan DA’s office until late Thursday night.
Two sources familiar with the matter told CBS News the plan is for the former president to fly to New York Monday and be arraigned before Judge Juan Merchan the next day. The proceeding is expected to be brief. The charge or charges in the indictment would be read to him at that time. The sources noted that the planning is fluid and the date could change.
Two law enforcement sources also told CBS News on Friday that Trump is likely to fly into LaGuardia Airport, which is located in Queens, in a private plane.
In a statement responding to news of his indictment, the former president called it “Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history,” and accused Democrats of “weaponizing our justice system to punish a political opponent, who just so happens to be a President of the United States.”
“The Democrats have lied, cheated and stolen in their obsession with trying to ‘Get Trump,’ but now they’ve done the unthinkable — indicting a completely innocent person in an act of blatant Election Interference,” Trump said.
Two Trump attorneys, Tacopina and Susan Necheles, issued a statement saying that the former president “did not commit any crime” and vowed to “vigorously fight this political prosecution in Court.”
The case stems from a payment made just days before Trump was elected president in 2016. His former attorney, Michael Cohen, arranged a wire transfer of $130,000 to Daniels in exchange for her silence about an alleged affair. Prosecutors were believed to be investigating the potential falsification of business records related to reimbursements made to Cohen. Trump has denied having a sexual encounter with Daniels, and vehemently denied wrongdoing in this case.
Cohen repeatedly met with prosecutors and testified before the grand jury in this case for five hours over two days in March. He served time in a federal prison after entering a guilty plea in 2018 to tax evasion and campaign finance violations in connection with the payment to Daniels.
After news of the indictment broke on Thursday evening, NYPD officers were out in full force at the Manhattan criminal courthouse, where a few scattered protesters gathered. CBS News has learned that all NYPD officers have been ordered to be in full uniform and ready to deploy Friday.
The indictment comes as Trump faces legal hurdles in other potential criminal cases. In Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis is mulling charges in an investigation into alleged efforts by Trump and more than a dozen of his allies to undermine the state’s results in the 2020 election, which he lost to President Biden. A special purpose grand jury conducted a six-month probe last year and delivered a report with its findings to Willis in January. The majority of that report was ordered sealed, at least until charging decisions are made.
In Washington, D.C., special counsel Jack Smith is overseeing two Justice Department investigations into alleged efforts to interfere with the lawful transfer of power following the 2020 presidential election, and Trump’s handling of sensitive government documents found at his Mar-a-Lago home and possible obstruction of efforts to retrieve them.
The White House declined to comment on news of the indictment. (CBSNews)
